Modular Layout Systems leg hardware?

Anyone know how I can contact a company called Modular Layout Systems?  They make an extruded aluminum slot-in leg system (or used to) for module building that looks interesting but I can't find anymore information online about it.

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Interesting.  I Googled "Modular Layout Systems" and found a lot of sites, but none of them, at least on the first two pages, were for or led to a company by that name.  Sounds like they don't have a web presence, which is odd for a company today.

At least a company that wants to succeed, with a product to market with such as broadly dispersed and hard to qualify consumer base.  I gave up after three pages of nuttin'.

Where did you get the photo?

Best wishes, Dave

Google search (just put quotes around the company, plus added 'railroad' -- struck gold on top hit) yielded the below link with some unfortunate news for your search...

Apparently the owner of the company, Skip MacDonald, passed away last year.

I had no idea that Skip Macdonald ran Modular Layout Systems.

He ran the Michigan Model Train Center about 30 minutes drive from my house. An interesting business because it coupled model trains with a canoe livery business, being sited right on the Huron River and Portage Lake.

Although primarily a O and HO shop with a huge stock of those scales, Skip did carry N scale items and was well stocked in the scale-independent items such as WS materials, paints, glues, plastruct etc etc. He normally had Digitrax items on hand which is unusual in my experience of the S.E. Michigan LHS scene.

The business liquidated shortly after his passing. At least that was what was happening the last time I was in there a few weeks after he died (and is mentioned at the bottom of the web link above).

Bryan,
It's probably more tim ethen you want to invest, but how about checking if any of the metals suppliers in the greater Baltimore-Washington area carry aluminum stock that you can get cut to length?  That's actually not a complex form, and I would bet a small but solid amount of money it had an application outside MRR before Modular started marketing it.  Just need to find someone with it, and figure out what it's really call.

And on a side note - trains and canoe livery; cool business idea.  sorry he passed.

Rats, that product had potential.  I wonder if it was copyrighted?

Dave, I got it from an English forum - http://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum - the images came up when I was searching something completely unrelated.

Have to remember the Boolean search tricks when I search Google...
