Its not that I dont trust Kato products, I was curious if it suffered from the same problem as the #4s.
I picked up on to start off the redesign of my 30th St Station and so far so good, it works pretty well.
One thing I am surprised about is that it you have the ability to operate it either power-routing or non powering routing.
Also they raised the side of the roadbed up along where the manual switch lever is to the same height as the rest of the roadbed and ties. So the likelihood of getting glue into the base of the wye has greatly lessen.
The wiring for the turnout switch is is completely removable with plug and play features under the wye, with little notches compared to the gaping hole on the #4/#6s on each side of the wye to route the wiring left or right.
