A little trespasser.
Finally caaught one of the new CSX image locos.
This hunk of junk was on a CSX train this week. Looks like a good Tom Mann project.

Bob, that hunk of junk is one of Pan Am's rent-a-wrecks that they've been leasing to offset power leased to other regional railroads.
I finally caught one of PAR's six axles in North Bennington.

Speaking of PanAm, someone told me that the ratty looking GP-40 I posted is headed there for a rebuilt and further use.

I haven't heard anything about rebuilding the leasers up here. I know there are about a half dozen LLPX and GATX/GMTX units in lease service on PAR now. A lot of them were former CSX work train locomotives. With an upswing of traffic on the New Brunswick Southern, and a new dedicated train from southern Maine to the NBSR interchange, some of PAR's power has been leased to NBSR or run in pool service with them. The new leasers are to offset the loss of power.

Wow, more Thursday Proto Photos in one thread than we've had in quite a while. Thanks to everyone for all of the great pixels. I was fully prepared and planning to capture something while in Denver, but as it happens I never stepped foot outside of our one-star hotel the whole weekend, except to leave and head home. (Mr. Knee is not the slightest bit happy about that.)
