The draft gear box itself actually is shorter than it should be to compensate for the MTL coupler heads.  I think I reached a good compromise with keeping the coupler face distance correct and providing a good simulated extended cushioned underframe draft gear box.

I for one, deeply appreciate this effort. I think this is an area that too many manufacturers overlook or ignore.

This is a car that deserved to be done right, and Bryan, you were the man to pull it off with authori-tai.  Each release from ESM sets a new standard of excellence.  I can't imagine what's next!  Either way, NOW is the Renaissance of N scale, and we are privileged to share the Railwire with two of the vanguard of the same (Bryan and Craig).

+1.  This is a car I never thought I would see in N, and talk of the X65 would put two LV prototypes on my layout!

The X65 is a natural progression, because it would require only a body tool in one configuration and share all the detail and underbody components with the X58.

The boxcar is state of the art, the layout is a magnificent stage, and the narrator... :o

Very nice video... showcases the realism of the car very well.  Time to start selling off some of the old dogs to make room in the yard... and the budget.

Awesome car I will be getting a decent number of these! I love ESM models the quality is over the top and I appreciate all the extra research you do to bring the some of the best models to N. Also that video is excellent I love these type of videos that show the cars from a railfan along the tracks perspective! That video looks so real I love the scene with the gates and the one shot from below the bridge and the close up one of the wheels rolling by is incredible! 8) Keep the good models and videos coming.
