Body mounting MT 905's

Have been trying to push the limits of my modeling and break my past record of body mounting one car in one year. Last night I did 3 IM cylindrical cars with the MT 905 pre-assembled couplers and seem to have run into an issue. Once installed, they want to stay in the delayed position and will not willingly close to the normal position. How tight or loose I have the screw fastening them to the car seems to have no affect on them, so I can only guess at two causes (because they are not like this out of the box or when removed from the cars).

1) The screw is causing them to bind when inserted into the mounting hole in the coupler box, or
2) They need 'Greas'em' applied (like the instructions for the 905's say)

Any thoughts, personal experience?

I'm going to guess #1. Try using a round file in the hole to remove just enough
to make the screw slide in and out of the hole with no resistance.
Just my two cents worth.  :)

Thanks Jon, I'll give that a shot when I'm next at home.
