Cool, nothing of interest to me.
Especially not this:

Maybe someday. Along with this Swift meet reefer scheme on the proper 36' body:

I'm in for the CP 4427. Maybe the NYC reprint too. The Interlockign Tower laser kit looks interesting too.

All the CP 4427's I've ever seen are gray restencils... Anyone find a proto-photo of this guy in black?
I'd love to support the cause here, but only if it's for real...

I've also never seen the CP 4427's in anything but gray. However, the car in question does exist:
You need to log in to view the large shot (railcarphotos.com), but you can see the thumbnail 2nd from top:

The 1990 service date and the conspicuancy stripes make it too new for me, but if they ever did this one... sweet!

Joe at MTL, the MTL write-up said the BLT date is unknown. According to the 'Canadian Freightcars',
http://www.nakina.net/
, car info is as follows:
Numbers: 387600-387799
Qty: 187
Svc Dates: 4/1988-in svc.
BLDR: PS
BLT: 8/69-1/70
Notes: Stl. xCPAA 387600-387799 /88-/91.

No problem. And FYI, car trace says that '387748 is not a valid number' which usually means it's scrapped... more than likely given the 1969-70 build dates.

Based on the build dates, these cars were originally MIlwaukee's or did CP purchase their own.

I've seen them noted as ex IC and acquired in 1975 on the Canadian Freight Railcar Gallery (see the shot of CPAA 387687 I linked to earlier).
If they're ex MILW, they were on CP long before SOO bought them.

I am in for the UP obs , and I am not yet sure of its prototype correctness . If I am smart I will not look into it either because that only will haunt you at every glance .

Hmmmm..... No Great Northern release on the OBS car. In the past they've done GN first. Is MT not doing GN for the Obs. car and GN folks are supposed to buy the Pullman car or are they mixing things up and are going to release a GN version later? I think the GN fans would like to know before all the Pullman cars are gone.
thanks,
Kevin
