Weathering both sides of a car

So the topic of what those fantastic looking MTL cars look like on the other side got me thinking...

Does anybody weather one side of something and the other in a fresh paint or recently washed state?

Not really, but a bunch of my cars are only weathered on one side; because I figured I would get better with time and didn't want to ruin the car all at once. ;D

That's kind of where I'm at now... a hand full of things weathered poorly on one side  ;D

I kind of like Dave Vollmer's two eras, maybe for me it will be the same locos and cars; new and shiny/several years of grunge instead of diesel/steam.
