I was at Timonium Saturday and Sunday and something possessed me to buy a few Kato tank cars. Once you take the walkway off they actually start to look North American, except for the length of the cars. Anyone Americanize these to match a specific prototype?

Are you referring to the super long tank cars or the (shorter) ones that Con-Cor marketed for a while.  I have one of the shorter ones which is pretty close to the BN fuel tenders, and I also have one of the long ones and would like to know what to do with it.  I've seen similar crazy long tank cars before but of course I cannot find good examples of something close now.

The two I have are the shorter ones in DOW, Cities Service, etc. I thought about the fuel cars, but the ends are wrong for the CGW. I found a pic of a Bakers Chocolate car from the 60s which may work, but can't find a decent side shot of the car to really tell.
