Actually, the cars with the "dome" in the photo above are NOT the SPVs, they are Metroliners that were upgraded.   SPVs looked VERY similar - they key indicator here (since you can't see the pantograph on the roof that's a dead giveaway) is to note that there is only a cab on one end.

I think Metroliners, SPV-2000's, and "Amfleet" cars shared the same basic carbody. Kitbashers take note.

Very similar but there are a few differences.  One of them is that the windows are taller on the Metroliners, though that is not a biggie.  The biggie is the placement of the windows in relation to the vestibules, which will make modifying the bodies a little more difficult.  You have to remember that Metroliners, like the Amfleet cars, are 85 feet long.
