I'll call security sir.

when the ability to take train pictures is squelched because of blatant trespassing, look at your photos from the past if you want to know the reason.  i make it a point to get permission from private landowners or to shoot from public locations.  many railroaders despise foamers.  if you trespass and put a photo out there, others will want to get the same shot.  Trains used to be good about not publishing photos that were obviously taken while trespassing. 

and no, the conductor on the Q173 does not count as permission.

Steve,

1) I had someone with me that had clearance to be on the railroad property.

2) We gained permission from the company whose propery went directly up to, within 15ft of the ballast line, of the NEC and around the fill of the NEC Whipple. This is where we took our photos.

3) An individual ran us out to the skewed Whipple and was there when I took that photo.
