Some goodies from last weekend's adventure down the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
Eastern Shore Railroad has become the Bay Coast Railway, but they still have some of the older Geeps running around in their earlier paint.
Cape Charles is also home to two of these MRS-1's, Military Road Switchers, as was discussed earlier (Thanks for the info, everyone!)
Here's the new Bay Coast paint scheme. Seems to be related to a local real estate company, which uses the same name and colors.
They apparently run some excursions and dinner trains.
The coolest thing they've got, though, are these two little relics. The second one was fired up and there was wait staff aboard, apparently preparing to depart for an evening dinner special.
There's also a little town museum there that has a couple of white elephants out in the yard. Neither has anything to do with Eastern Shore railroading, but I guess if you've got a museum in a railroad town, you better have a caboose!
I've got some more shots of the car float ramp and more rolling stock at my Picasa album.
