A special edition of The Keystone Modeler, Winter 2008, has an extensive write up of the Fruit Growers Express, Burlington Refrigerator Express, Western Fruit Express, National Car Company wood reefer cars that is a must for modelers who model the time before 1960. 

While definitive roster info is not possible since some records no longer exist this is the most extensive roster that will ever be found, not to mention a great deal of prototype information on the variety of cars that these operators had.

This is an excellent article. The author has been selling copies for $5 for years, which I had bought. The three historical societies got together and added some photos. It was nice to see it republished in this manner.
