I noticed your name on that site as well.  Did you do the models or the photography?  Whatever, it all looks great.  I too want to learn to do all this as well.
I'm going to post an update to my Swift boxcar and hope to have some feedback on my first weathering job.

Do you or should I say, has anyone had the bad side effects when using the acrylic gloss medium?  I wouldn't think it would yellow or shrink since its meant for paintings.

I've had it lose it's gloss over time (after a couple years) but a good cleaning and another application brings it back.

Wipe the dust off with damp cloth. Let dry, then wipe down with another cloth with Armour All on it. Believe me, the gloss will be back.
