Computer (Armchair) Modeling

Between work, college and the family I don't get much time to spend down in the basement uninterrupted. Here is my latest creation, about 10 hours of Adobe Illustrator time so far...at 15-45 minutes a clip. Last night was 2 hours of mostly just organizing all the shapes and lines so that I can turn on and off the visibility to things I don't want to see at any given moment.

Now Chris knows why I have been asking so much about etching.... ;)

I have the frame and one truck started, but I turned them "off" for this shot. After I get them done, I'll go in and add the rivets, and I am NOT looking forward to that.

I also have an end view started, and I am at the point now where I could build off these drawings in styrene, but I have some other half finished projects in the basement I should clear out first.

Does anyone know what the deal is with JnJ trains Harriman truck sideframes? Are they supposed to be used over another brand of truck, or are they for scrachbuilding a truck?
