Still makes me feel good about my best "find" at the LHS. Walked in one day and he had two sets of the TTX '3 pak kits' in the secondhand shelf.

Yoink! Best $40 (AUD) I've ever spent.

That's how I got the three I have... kit form.  Unfortunately, the hobby's been dumbed down to the point that we are no longer able to feed ourselves...

I have that TTX 3 pack also and would like for MT to release it again with different numbers of course. They were fun to built.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

Awww, now why do you say that? The LHS has a few of their repainted engines, at the amazing list price they as which is twice the list of the original model and sometimes even more. They want $225 for a repainted Kato PA for example. And the paint job is only OK, not outstanding. Or $20+ for their decorated MDC tooled boxcars. Or $22+ for their decorated Atlas cars.

Decent work but way, way overpriced.

I have I think 6 of the MT undecs and plan to paint 3 in the yellow Trailer Train scheme and
3 in the older PRR red Trailer train scheme. I also have 2 of the Alan Curtis Z-sill cars which I'll
paint in the old TTX scheme. I plan to scratchbuild about 8 channel side cars. I would like to
get more Z-sills not only for pig trains but also to build a few open top autoracks with the covered
sides and open ends 8)

So did you by chance happen to go by The Freight Yard booth this past weekend at the Amherst show and checkout that crappy painting your referring too? And did it still look crappy as your referring too it? Funny that you say that as others who were at the show didn't see things the same way as you must have. They sold over $10,000.00 in custom painted engines alone. And how do I know This? I work for them. Sorry we don't do anything to float your boat over Ian but I'll let the buying public speak for themselves.

I bought 3 Freight Yard Maine Central 50' Double door boxcars a few years ago, and the coverage of the yellow paint was very thin and the color several shades off.
I've never considered ordering another freight yard product since.
