The engine of the American Freedom Train is in major jeopardy! It needs to pull the train again in 2076, but it looks like it may not make it!

If you want to restore a steam engine, the first thing you have to do is fill the tender with money, preferably, $100 bills. About the same thing with passenger cars. And you can almost count the people on your fingers and toes that have the expertise to restore them now. The guys that built them are in grave yards, or soon will be. In most cases, volanteers do more harm than good(they don't know any better). Think about willing some of your estate to the cause. Maybe in your state it would just go to taxes anyway. I don't think many of us will be around to see it run again.

volanteers do more harm than good

These guys definitely don't fit that description, they're essentially steam gods out west. This is the shop Canadian Pacific contracted to do the major work on 2816 when they restored it to operation. I wouldn't bet on them losing out, Doyle McCormick has some pretty powerful friends...
