Yeah, I worked as an unloader at UPS for 6 months. You earn your money...

And yes I do expect UPS to be heavy into the merchandise side of NASCAR, it`s big business. but the point I was tring to make was there is substantial money to be made there, I guess to help cushion the $15 million or  a year it costs them to put their logo on Dale Jarretts car, money talks, and there`s a lot more money to be made trackside than from a pack of decals in a hobby shop..

That being said, I would love to find a high-res digital image of the old UPS logo that would be suitable for use on intermodal trailers in the late 1990s. UPS quickly obliterated all traces of it from their vehicles when they came out with the new one...

Those help for the logo, but that isn't actually what I needed. Although useful for TOFC trailers, which is the main subject of this thread, I was actually looking for shots of a side of the delivery panel trucks. Couldn't find a good high res shot of the entire side that wasn't the new logo (what other word would I want) I mean the whole thing, (currently that's the logo + "worldwide delivery" but I want the old log + the world image + www.ups.com)

Would the same be true for trailers, trucks and decals for Overnite as it is for UPS?  The reason I ask is because in '05 UPS has brought out Overnite to create UPS Freight.

I have seen some Overnite trailers still on the road, but nothing in models.

They're nice trailers too, include a dolly truck. But expensive also. Sort of like their Mack trucks. Nice but at 25 bucks, I'm not going to be buying very many.

TWENTY-five bucks for two trailers isn't cheap, but we still need to thank them for some great models, and the fact that prior to that the only option RTR was $25 for ONE trailer.

I am currently working on a couple of the resin drop-frame trailers, and would REALLY be interested in decals.  I read somewhere that there have been decals done in HO (A-Line?) so one option would be getting hold of those decals and scan/resize/print them on decal paper.  Of course, you couldn't redistribute those but it's an option.

I did a short stint at UPS during college and I agree it was a great workout!  I actually didn't mind the work physically, (it was kinda the reason I took the job) but the "chicken with it's head cut off" management style (or lack thereof) wasn't worth dealing with.

If you haven't tried a one-off decal maker like ELS, give them a try.  For about $15 - which is less than a few Microscale alphabet sheets, you can go crazy and get the decals for probably 20 projects.  Yes, I usually get ONE sheet printed!

There are lots of free stencil fonts out there, BTW, if you poke around - I would be happy to forward mine to you if you need them.

The only caveat is that you have to use a vector graphics package like Illustrator to do the artwork...
