Yeah, but the thing with the Roadrailers was that Deluxe was trying to make a new concept work in N scale, and I recall those guys saying they had a lot of problems getting them to track well and finding a way to link them that would allow modelers to run long trains of them. With IMRC and all the delays they've been having lately, they're not really trying to do anything revolutionary, it's just a matter of the plain ol' injection-molding they've been doing since day 1.

And yeah, I'm still waiting for SD45-2s too...since it's been about 7 years since IMRC said they're gonna do CR ones, hopefully they won't be warped and blobby like some of the other previous runs...

Has it really been seven years? Wow when Intermountain announced the SD45-2's I was in Junior High!
well before Graduation didn't pan out, maybe... ...Retirement :P

and good point on the Roadrailers Sean, I guess I take for granted the amount of work that went in to making those so sweet...

Yeah, it has been a while since the initial announcement. I was a sophomore in college when it was made, now I've been out almost 3 years. So maybe it's like 6, but still a hell of a long time.

I remember being so excited when the roadrailers did come out and I got my first 2 sets...then I tried running them on a Ntrak layout. If you want to experience the true definition of the term "dismal failure", try running light roadrailers over track that looks like it was laid by a cross-eyed G scaler...

Personally, I can take the SD 45-2 delay as long as they correct the DM&IR artwork.  Unless someone can show me a picture without the UofM lettering.

...they are probably just totally busy and involved in trying to find an other plastic for their handrails on the Tunnelmotors and SD45-2, an other plastic which will not break from only looking for too long at it ! (as nice and thin the handrails are, man there are other plastics out there which are more durable)

But why is it that IMRC and Kato BOTH seem to have problems with the engineer's side handrails??? Ie. warping, etc....

Could this be because the cab forwards are coming out like in February right???

Come on, guys, give the IM folks a break! When else are they going to make all those F7B replacement shells we're waiting for? Ahem, Mr. Chulvis, when were those promised for again?  ;D

IN my last email with IM, they promised my replacement WM F7B shell in Jan, which was when the 2nd run of WM F7s was supposed to happen.

I have the email from Jerry at IMRC Customer Service dated 11/20/06 saying he'd put me on the list for the F7B shell replacement.  I didn't think that it would drag out over 18 months.  On the plus side, I put the incorrect F7B on the layout a year ago and the problem is only noticeable if you're conscious of it.

Let's see I got my WM Fs in August 2006. Hope it doesn't slide past 24 months on the F7B shell ...
