I also have 3 of these, that I added decoders to:

I also got 12 of these, that need to be re-numbered:

I only got 1 of these so far, but I have more road numbers, so i just need to make some more:

I'm not even an NS modeler, but somehow the stable keeps filling up!

Nice!   How are the wheels and trucks?

Well, I really like the metal wheels, but I am not so ecstatic about the coupler box extending as far out as they do. I pulled the metal wheels out, and they are insulated on one side, so could be used for 1 pickup per axle type projects, instead of all wheel pickup projects. They look like scale 33" wheels, and they don't have pizza cutters on them, so i like the wheels. I need to test them in MTL trucks.

I need to devise a way to body mount 903's on these cars, and cut the coupler boxes off the trucks.

Getting sleepy, will address the issue later.

I live along CP's ex D&H line. There is probably more NS traffic on the line than CP. Frank

You are aware that that NS box car is not from the same NS that we all know and love today right?  ;)

But a lot of people loved that one, too.  ;D. Frank

OK, Do Tell? Because I am set to strip them if they are bogus! I am already hatching plans to convert my Black Stallions into BN SD60M's of the 2 window variety. ;D

Not bogus, perfectly correct, but in the paint scheme of the original Norfolk Southern, a regional railroad that ran from Norfolk to Charlotte, NC, and was purchased by the Southern Railway in 1974. It was famous for its "vest pocket Berkshires".

When N&W and SOU merged in 1982, some fancy corporate footwork was required to use the name Norfolk Southern for the entire system.

So, the cars would be an anachronism on a present day layout.

And if you want to really get picky, the paint scheme is wrong for that box car. Those NS cars are ACF built, the MT model is a FMC prototype. Out of all of the correct paint schemes that they've already done on their N-scale version of that box car, they have to pick a phony for the first run of that one...  ::) I really wish MT would do Railbox on that car. That would at least be right and I might actually buy a couple...
