Chulvis called this afternoon to let me know he was shipping mine along with some other stuff today and was there anything else I wanted. Now that's dealer service!  8) 8)

Iain, believe those cars have Murphy roofs but I'll have to check.

Definitely not but perhaps Atlas redid them without the Rapido box, to move the coupler closer in to the body. I like how they look.

Yeah, typical flat panel roof.

Yeah I love these cars. When Atlas did them in O scale I was asking for them in N, only took a couple years.

Chuck,
List them as "in stock" so I can order a few!!!  ;D

It's always nice when we get a new body style car in N-scale. When it's accurate and well-done, even better. If we could only get modern LPG tankers... :'(

Well, my package from Chulvis showed up today and they're definitely truck mounted, but they have taken Tom's slogan "Ride Height Matters" seriously, the tops of the wheels and sideframes are hidden under the side sills.

We're really getting some fine steam era boxcars in N scale! Been long enough, though... 8)

I suppose these would have been hanging around into the 70's... better take a look and see which one Chuck should put in my box...
Gregg, would I be too far off if I got the PRR car and weathered the hell out of it?  When would these have been re-built, and what was their life span?

Lee, most of the PRR's would have been gone by the 1970's as they were rebuilt in the late 30's from USRA single sheathed cars. But, look at Mark (NandW)'s post above, that VTR car would fit right in.  8)
