Although I haven't had a ton of time to model lately, I've still been able to construct a few new T-TRAK modules as well as improve/rejuvenate a few older ones.
Also, I still enjoy building single modules...for many reasons. It's much easier to 'complete' a single as the real estate is limited, it's very easy to transport and use as a photo prop/backdrop, and, because a single is still the basic building block of T-TRAK, I feel it's important to show that single T-TRAK modules still have relevance, especially when trying to attract new model railroaders. Single modules also give me a way to showcase a particular manufacturer's product.
I've continued my 'Mother Road' theme to represent the New Mexico/Arizona areas-so far, 5 modules (3 singles, 1 double, and 1 inside corner) featuring the highway parallel to the tracks, and 4 modules (1 single, 1 double, 2 triples, and 1 end cap) depicting scenes where the highway has diverged away from the trackage.
My latest T-TRAK single continues the theme and features Showcase Miniatures' "Lee King" radiator shop in their line of Route 66-themed structures. I also ended up using one of their nice rooftop water towers, downline regulator pole assemblies, and a couple of their excellent vehicle kits. Building this single also gave me motivation to add and improve my other Southwest Mother Road singles and double.
