Received the MTL  UP/SP 50' boxcar with the new HC underframe/body mounted couplers.

Nice unit and took a few pics. The ride height is also lower on these compared to original units with truck mounted couplers.

@MTLJoe  It would be nice to have the MTL website note this update on descriptions of new releases. Great update on older tooling that makes a difference.

How is the box size?  Does it still look compressed or is it scale now?

I would be really surprised if they produced a whole new shell.  That would be like producing a brand new body style.

I didn't measure anything, just took few pics, and have been putting some miles on it today.

With the underbody/ coupler upgrade, and a street price of $24, it's a nice addition.
