New MTL Cushion Coupler Box

Ya'll noticed this?

@oakcreekco posted a pic here but the new separate, extended body mount coupler box didn't seem to get noticed.

I noticed them on my air repeater cars that just arrived.  Then I started looking and I can tell from pics that they have been released on at least three other cars.

My real purpose in posting ...  :D  ... is to page @MTLJoe to see if this new box can be released with shanks in a new coupler kit.  (Yes, I will assemble them myself.)

(For those that care, it uses a 1015 style spring-in-front design (as opposed to a 1023/25 style spring in the back design).   Which is less slinky in most situations.)

I haven't looked yet @jagged ben but I would assume these are integrated with the underframe and not a separate coupler box per se?

Yes, the Hydrocushion underframe is new tooling.
A "western modeler" that also runs NS.

Nope, the box is all separate pieces.

Turn out there is a raised part at the back that fits into the new cushion underframe.  That might make the coupler sit a little too low for some cars.  It's a 0.021" difference. But it could also be flipped upside down if a axle doesn't interfere with a screw at that spot.

I could use a few (or maybe more than a few) of these if they were offered separately, too.  Same with that cushioned underframe.

I'll put this to the Roadmap group and see if I can get anyone on board.  LOL   I figure these parts will be available separately
