Installing diaphragm on a passengers car

I need help !

I painted a while ago a 3D Pullman green Dover Harbor car  , spray painted using Tamiya .

My diaphragm which is a 3 rubber tubes ( 1 horizontal at the top and 2 vertical , 1 each side of the door )

I used number 18 black wire to simulate it , the look is very close as per picture .

So when I tried to glue it to the car using ACC , it didn't stick , it just melted the paint ....

The painting was done more than 2 months ago ..... 

Any other solution ?

I like Canopy Glue, Microscale Kristal Klear, or just Elmer's white glue for items like this.  The first two being slightly better, but if you don't have them on hand... any PVA glue will work on the smooth surfaces and hold with a bit of flexibility.
