Status update.
Did the full reset (OP Switch 39): No change.
Replaced the CMOS battery: no change.

I get the same results no matter if the layout's various devices are plugged in or not.

I'm really starting to think that the command station is just borked.

Is there a way to test Loconet "quality"?

At this point - the quickest test would be to swap out the command station with another - then if the problem resurfaces, its something else

I forwarded your video to Dave Trone who also uses Digitrax for his huge mushroom West Penn HO scale layout.  I'll let you know what he thinks

Yeah, he's got nothing either

Ed,
Try changing the CMOS battery but before installing the new battery let the command station sit for 20 minutes or so with no battery. After that "cold reset" insert the new 2032 battery and put the cover back on. Power up and give it a try. BTW, you might also want to test the power supply while it's not connected. Good way to kill the 20 minutes.

I figured it out today!

Turns out that my "common return" had come loose.

Fixed that and I'm not back in business.

Yep. I'm back in business. It's now back up and running. For now, anyway.

Now to figure out:
1. Why the detection isn't accurate again.
2. Why the one switch decoder keeps grenading itself.
