I really enjoyed the show.
All N Scale with decent turnout helped. I also saw Yankee Dabbler's display of wares. I had heard of the shop but never realized what extensive inventory he carried. Impressive and one to remember when looking for... stuff.
I brought my P5a's with me and ended up running them on a couple of layouts.
@EL3632 Kenny saw one running and being aware of the pickup issue, was intrigued with the reliable performance. After running it himself he told me of another fellow who had one that they tried running Saturday morning with nothing but trouble every few inches so we took mine to that layout, put it on the track, and Kenny proceeded to run it around for hours including quite a bit of
very slow speed running. This was how he introduced me to Chris, the owner of the P5a that had been troublesome. I had a few spare sets of the truck supports with me so we installed a set in his loco and it immediately ran fine. He then assembled a nice military train and ran it trouble free for several hours Saturday afternoon. That led to a few more owners who had left their troublesome locos at home, asking for parts. In all, I suspect we fixed five more locos. I certainly hope so.
Also saw a number of the folks from here, including Mike
@MK . I suspect I'll be doing this show again.
