Working on the wiring for the temporary end loop.
I've got some spare slots on my Digitrax BXP88 that I use for detection in the area, but I also need to get my DCC Specialties OG-AR inline to do auto reversing.
My first thought was that I should be able to put the OG-AR inline with the output of the BXP88 detector and things might work. However, when I did that, my BXP88 is always showing the block as occupied (even though it's not actually connected to the track yet).
Is this the way it works with the OG series?
Should I just go "raw DCC" into the OG and live with the loop being dark territory?
Anyone dealt with this?
In situations where you need auto reversing and detection, what do you do?

The OG needs to be connected to the booster directly, before any detection . then you connect the detector on the upstream side of the OG --
but
9.0 Auto-Reversing
The power management timing used by the BXP88 may not be compatible with
some auto-reverser control items connected upstream on the RA and RB input
connections. A downstream auto-reverser on a DS will show that Detection Section
as occupied at all times, but Transponding will work.
An upstream auto-reverser
will reverse all of a BXP88’s detection sections tracks, so these 8 detection
sections can only be used within the same single reverse area or power district. You probably can't do what you want to do .. You could use a single BOD upstream to feed a DS64 / SE8C for the loconet connection ..
