Steam engines from Broadway Limited for 2022

One of these days, we'll have holographic technology that can project somewhat-realistic "smoke" coming out of a model loco (and at a rate that's to scale). Come to think of it, that would be an interesting technological advance in the hobby; they can have versions that can project weather effects like rain or snow.

If the technology gets that good, we won't need the models- we will just go all virtual and download whatever loco we want, and the scenery to go with it.  We have lots of people doing it already on 2D monitors, creating 3D simulations with their computers and displaying on high def screens.  Once we get to the point of having affordable room sized holographic projection, you could use the same room for trains that is used by the kids for traveling to Narnia during their playtime.

Our NTRAK club in Chicago didn’t do many public shows but we regularly set up at the local annual NMRA Division sow.
One year we were set up across from a banjo player.  After a hour we were ready to modify his instrument with rail nippers....
But worse was the year a Lionel/MTH layout was our neighbor.   You would think a gymnasium would be big enough to dissipate the smell of the smoke but you would be so wrong....

Or, you could have been set up next to the table selling those wooden train whistle kid's toys.

Or set up across the isle from a static Live Steam group where one person had great delight in constantly blowing the whistle run on compressed air.
Organisers were quickly told and everyone in the hall had a better weekend
