How about a little instruction on lowering the height on the cars? Is it just filing the place where the truck pins go and lower profile wheels?
As noted above, and in an
earlier post upthread, lowering is just a matter of swapping in Atlas/BLMA 100T truck. No filing necessary. (The new trucks from Tangent will also work, though they're not any easier to find at the moment.)
The tricky part is body-mounting the couplers. With the Z scale LEZ couplers and my custom-designed pockets, the conversion is easy as it only requires minimal surgery on the car (by design). It might work with the MTL 2004 underslung couplers, but I don't have any to try it with. So not very helpful...
At the very least, remove the washer from the trucks. I also recommend painting the roof walk supports in the body colour. It helps give the
illusion that the car is lower.
