I have to wonder if it actually was Seaford. That was DuPont's nylon plant; I can't find any references indicating ethylene glycol was part of the process. EG is used to make PET (polyethylene terephthalate - clear plastic bottles), tho'. Did DuPont have a PET operation in the region?
