hold your loco while doing some work like wiring, you can angle you work to suit your needs.
this might belong in the tool section, but found this to be very helpful in doing DCC installs, so I put it here.

I have used it to hold a small PCB, where I need to solder a small 3MM LED to the board I stick the board to the mounting tape so the place where the LED goes, is not by the mounting. Then take a small piece to hold the LED in position and solder.
