Pan Am Railway business train spotted

As I arrived at the end of the line of several cars at the Shawsheen Rd. RR crossing in Tewksbury, MA around 4:40pm yesterday I spotted the business train.  I had no camera handy and I was several automobiles away from the crossing, so no photos.

Here is a video of the train taken elsewhere (not my video).

Your video comes up "unavailable", but, I suppose that I can go to YouTube and get it.

I am familiar with that crossing that you mentioned on the old Busted and Mined.  My family is from Essex County and closer to the ocean, thus I am more familiar with the tracks on the old North-South Main (through Haverhill) as well as the North-South Secondary (through Salem) plus what is left of the branch lines around there or where the tracks were.  Still, I am not unfamiliar with the tracks that you mentioned.

Too bad that you could not get some photographs.

Brought back some memories? There is a CO2 distribution facility right nearby, so there are always tank cars on the siding. I live few miles from that crossing (on the other side of Rt. 38, close to Wilmington border).

Thanks to Peteski for making this thread happen.

Although I thought it was silly when they bought the Pan-Am logo (etc, think 2001, A Space Odyssey), I have to admit that it looks really good here. :D

Interesting. So when I saw them they came from New Hampshire and were heading towards Lowell.  Actually, thinking about this, I think it was closer to 5pm.

I agree that the livery looks nice, but I would still rather see it on Boeing 747s.  :)

Good morning all,

I have to ask where they got the dome car.  I heard one of the Wabash domes was sold from Atlanta and was checking to see if this may have been it.

Thanks,
Bobster
