Nice N scale Land Rovers from Busch

Just got a notice from DM-Toys that these are in stock.  They look nice!  The roof racks look to be 3D printed, but the rest of the model is well done injection-molded styrene.

Following the very successful previous release of Busch's unmarked 8370 (white), 8371 (green), and  8372 (blue) Land Rover Defenders (which are now sold out at MB Klein), the emergency lights, roof racks, and markings are new to this batch of models.

Hopefully we will see a restock of the previously run, unmarked models.

Depending upon how nice the finished product looks, would definitely be interested in purchasing some unmarked models with roof racks, or the roof racks marketed as accessory items.

Walthers still has the 8370 and 8371 models in stock and is expecting a restock of the 8372 in mid-December.
You can purchase directly from Walthers or have a shop place an order with them for you.

N Scale Supply still has all six versions of the Defender from the first run (released mid-2017) available.  https://www.nscalesupply.com/bus/bus.html  Scroll to the bottom of the page.

And yes, these models are very nice.  I am hoping Busch will also bring the Land Rover Discovery they currently have in HO to N.

Point353 and cfritschle,

Although I already have all three of the referenced models in my collection, really appreciate the leads guys.

While I have bought  items from N Scale Supply (once), Burbank's House of Hobbies and Hogtrainz (a few times), the bulk of my new item purchases are consummated exclusively with Hiawatha Hobbies, Lombard Hobbies, MB Klein (my personal favorite place to buy from). and directly from ScaleTrains.

Neville,

I agree that MB Klein is a great place to shop for model railroad supplies.  However, the more popular N scale models do tend to sell out rather quickly there!   :o

They recently received a new shipment from Artitec, and those models were mostly gone within a few hours.   At least the ones that I could use.  :(

The body looks nice, are those tires "slicks" or is it just bad camera angles?

As with most N scale injection molded vehicle tires, there has been no attempt to depict a tread pattern.  These tires appear to have been made using a flat mold because the mold parting line is centered around the circumference of the tire.

Edit:  I had this photo on Railimages that shows the parting line on the Land Rover's tire.

That is an Atlas Ford Explorer on the left, and the Explorer tires are not injection molded,  nor to they have a tread pattern.

Thanks Carter, in the photo above the sidewalls appear to be perfectly flat which I guess is even weirder - but your photo appears to show some "bulge"  :D

Yes, the tire "bulges" out from the rim and narrows where the tread should be.  Or in other words, the cross section does look like a tire, but the sidewalls have no markings/detail.
