Yes another CLP from down under - the reason for posting this is that CLP12, photographed here on a railfan excursion in November 2000, has recently been re-activated after 7 years lying idle!

Ownership passed from G & W to Australian operator Aurizon in June 2006 who laid it up during 2013. After a while it was put up for sale along with the 9 other members of the class owned by Aurizon, but initially a) the asking price was ridiculously high and b) they could only be sold overseas. Over time those conditions have altered or been forgotten and late last year my employer, Southern Shorthaul Railroad, bought four of the units. Last week CLP12 went out on its first revenue earning run after 7 years laying idle. There's still a bit of work to be done on it by and it failed halfway through the trip, but by the end of the year it should be regularly out and about with a flash new paint job into the bargain.

Caught a pair of SD40-2's on D795 4/10/2020 while practicing social distancing after an essential run to drop water off for a charity.

SD was somewhat encroached upon by a quarry employee stopping by to check on me sitting there.  Said they've been finding some "disturbing items" lately and have been asked to be more vigilant by management.  Said they're use to it in their Baltimore location, not so much though in Hanover.
