Gunderson MAXI-I Sets – BNSF!



The cars feature metal chassis with etched metal details and add-on parts. The cars also feature AZL’s Auto-Latch couplers and roller bearing trucks. Containers are sold separately. The packaging includes slots for ten 40’ containers.

The second release is for the BNSF with the ‘Swoosh’ logo. Four sets are being offered:

AZL is releasing a 10x pack of Genstar 40’ containers. This is the first time AZL released containers for Genstar is the orange variant. The ten packs are specially priced.

Dang, the circle-cross BNSF cars fit a wider era.  I'm not sure I can use the swoosh.  Nice looking set though.

No we are not publishing the full list. But you can see a few of the versions to come in the video we posted.

I've been monitoring the whole "BNSF Circle Logo" question and--aside from some "leaked" photos from Rob A's beautiful euro layout (which isn't necessarily proof of life  ) a week or so ago--it is nice to have confirmation that these did indeed make the cut.  (Bizarrely, it seems the Circle Logo Maxi-I's aren't available in any other scale that I can tell!  EDIT: It does look like Athearn did them in HO at some point.)

I did buy one of the Swoosh versions...somewhat to hedge bets in case they did not release a Circle Logo. (it would be a good starting point)  But also because swoosh is on the tail end of my modeling era so it is worthwhile to have at least one.
