:|The Bachmann "Sound Value" GP 40 locomotive are releasing. These look to be an improvement over the Sound Value SD 45 of a couple years back. The decoder is the Sound Traxx Econami with GP 40 sound, but according to the advertisement on the back of MR adjustable to 5 different Prime Movers 16 air horns, variations of 7 different bell types, a function activated grade crossing signal. The paint schemes Union Pacific, BNSF, CP Rail, CSX, NS look very well done. Now for my only big gripe. These train set entry level locomotives have only one locomotive number per paint scheme. This is definitely a Bachmann thing on some locomotives both steam and diesel. What if I want to run a pair of these together, Then I guess will have to renumber. Nate Goodman. (Nato). The shell is decent though check out the fans on the roof - big goof up is that the cab steps front and rear are "smoothed" over (ramps?). The fuel tanks are not even close. Other goofiness - see the thread linked above.
