I expected to see a GG1 taking on fuel for the steam heat boiler, which was in fact oil-fired and not electric.

The scrap yard once used the only 44 tonner on the Erie #26 to switch cars, later a different PRR 44T was used. This yard was a LS&MS (later NYC) yard. When I was a kid it was full with piles and piles of locomotive and car parts. Now it is just a field:

I remember driving down Gov. Printz Blvd in Wilmington a cold December day when the G's were lined up.  Got some shots and climbed into cabs.

Yep. One of the reasons I'm migrating the site (slowly) to a new version of Drupal. The components that do the map haven't been updated to use the new Google maps API.

Had a photo of a G cut in half and used as a snow blower in Wilmington, DE. Must locate it.
