Here's one of the first prints of my Trojan loader.  This is an HO print, but I was able to reduce it to N scale with little modification.  I'm using the Formlabs 2 printer at medium resolution.  These things are pretty much ready to go right out of the soup.   I'll need to thicken up the bucket a bit more, but in a short bit I'll have a Rock Island Flat with a couple of these loaded. :)

That looks real cool!  Impressed that you built up the 3d file yourself!  Do you have diagrams of the prototype and build from that or do you just freestyle it?

I've been working on a front end loader, but I start with someone else's file and modify it to my needs.  Not sure where I'd start from scratch!

From his post it appears that this is Joe's personal project (not for MTL).
However it would be nice if it was shrunk to N scale, and sold by MTL. But I would like to see see-through windows. That, IMO, makes a big difference in realism.

Nice work, Joe. It won't take long to do several flats loads.

Is this one of your first prints out of the formlams printer???

Justa FWIW in case you're thinking about creating these as loads, CAT front end loaders of the early 70s usually shipped with the cabs off. You might want to check to see how Trojan did it.

@Shipsure that is kind of an unusual prototype to choose.  I think they were manufactured by Yale if I recall.
Is there a backstory as to why you chose the Trojan as the model you wanted?
