Trainini magazine - international edition

Hello everyone,

Please note that the November issue of the English language international edition of Trainini, the German magazine for Z Gauge, has been published recently.  It is available for free download at https://www.trainini.de/Downloads.html. On the same page you will also find the October issue of the international edition (as well as the two latest issues of the German original).

All back issues older than the two most recent ones are available at licensed Trainini archives, e.g. at Raildig https://www.raildig.com/introduction/trainini-magazine/.  For other archive sites see https://www.trainini.de/Links.html .

For those of you not yet familiar with Trainini: it’s a completely free, not-for-profit monthly magazine, covering anything related to Z scale model railways.  Regular topics include reviews of new rolling stock, prototype information, modelling techniques, layout engineering projects, exhibition reports, product reviews and much more.  The German language edition of the magazine has been regularly published since 2005 and has gathered a large readership, not only amongst Z scale enthusiasts, but beyond.

The people behind Trainini are a small group of dedicated volunteers around editor-in-chief Holger Späing.  Due to the success of Trainini and the fact that it has a significant number of non-German speaking readers, the editors began publishing an English language international edition in January 2018.  We are confident that the translation by these experienced English speakers and writers is better than any machine translation (disclosure: I am one of the translators).

So have a look at the latest issue and the back issues, if you are interested. And even for those of you modelling in scales other than Z, there will be plenty of readable stuff, in particular in the sections on modelling techniques.

Happy reading!

Chris

Some really fine scenery in the link, especially given it's done in Z.  The modelers in Europe never disappoint.  Very inspirational.

Enjoyable. But why does the name of a German magazine sound so....Italian?
Like something I might have with a good marinara sauce? :P
