I've seen some threads on Photopshop here so thought I'd share about Photoshop Training Channel. It was founded by San Francisco Bay Area graphic designer/web developer Jesús Ramirez, who was a feature speaker and presenter at the 2018 Adobe Max conference.
There are zillions of tutorials out there. But I've liked what I've seen from Ramirez. His lessons are easy to follow, and he usually provides more than one option, or way of doing something, which can be very useful for users with older verisons of the sofware.
I'm intrigued with the idea of using Photoshop to create layout backgrounds. The possibilities sure beat the pre-printed themes from decades ago. You'll find tutorials on photo composites and outlining difficult objects (like hair, but the same principle can be applied to foliage and telephone wires, for example). With advances in affordable inkjet banner printing (think FedEx office) and royalty-free stock photography (if not using your own), one could create some very unique and/or period-perfect background themes and images. I'm mulling over my own ideas now.
