Have a video of the updated On30 Bachmann Mogul.

Am sure the question is "Is the updated version worth the price?"

Having done the conversion on an analog, price-wise:

Quote
All prices with shipping

Street Price of Update with sound $298.85

Street price Analog Mogul $100.90

Connectors $6

Phosphor bronze sheet $6

Speakers $12

Tsunami 2 Total:    $108.81

Miscellaneous $15

Total $245.71

Worth the $40 for sound, having done the conversion, yeah.

That convinces me On30 is probably the smallest equipment that produces the best sound. Either the speaker is bigger or the tender is larger for a better baffle than HO.

My original mod used these speakers:

The big paper speaker gives a better bark on the exhaust:

In speakers bigger is always better.

That was using my old analog camcorder otherwise the sound would be better.

Dual 1.1 diameter speakers with one at  550-6000 Hz and another at 600-20000 Hz in a HO Bachmann Decapod:

Gives a bark on the exhaust.

Same decoder as the analog Mogul install.

What does narrow gauge steam sound like? Go to the 3:55 mark.
