They filed for abandonment for a short line to an old steel mill near my house. I think they tried to sell the line first.

Page 9 has a map. The spot marked Bolindale is the crossing at the end of my street. At one time the crossing was narrow gauge. Right next to the long gone Erie crossing.

The line I listed basically ended at a steel mill that shut down and is now a big field. Turns out the company that bought the mill to scrap it is bidding on the rail line. To scrap it.

The town where the branch starts wants to offer money to keep it from abandonment.

And the county wants to turn it into a trail.
