Unfortunately those gaps are part of the defined T-TRAK standard.  I'm sure that if someone owns multiple modules, those gaps can be addressed.   But as a standard those gaps are distracting (more so than the connecting track are in NTRAK standard).

No they're not, at least not in that magnitude.  We run T-Trak all the time in our club and we interface with other clubs who have T-Trak modules.  The gaps should be no worse than N-Trak modules.

True, the gap looks to be more than the 2mm. Probably more like 5mm.

I think they're more like 5mm and of course the camera close up makes them even look bigger.  Ed can check out our T-Trak modules at Altoona since he said he'll be there. 

Of course I'm only giving Ed a hard time just like DKS mentioning the painting of the rails.  We, being  and on TRW, we focus on that 1% of imperfection even though the rest is absolutely perfect.   

Those modules are pretty damn good!

I use the back edge of the first tie...pretty close to 2 mm...there's still a wee gap.

I would rather have a gap, than not have a gap.  With a gap the module is still usable, without a gap it is questionable.  I have used the edge of the Kato railer and let that determine the amount of overhang from the side of the module, it about lines up with the back of the half tie.  When you are making your own modules, this is something you can and must control.  Do not just look at a spec and say 24 5/16", cut the top a little long, put the track on top, get your set back at one edge and then mark the other side and cut to length,  unless you forget and cut inside the mark you should be OK. (How do I know, I have been there and done that, a large gap results).

Ok, so another strange thing happened in this same vein yesterday.

My mom tripped on her way out of a library yesterday and injured herself enough to need a trip to the hospital.

How did I find this out?

For those of you concerned she broke a few bones but nothing life threatening and luckily no concussions.
