Not my photo, that is why I'm just linking to RP.net but I figured the Tehachapi enthusiasts would like it since it is a fresh image.

Fresh indeed!  I'm glad this guy is willing to trespass on our behalf.  He's posting some great photos.

I would be happily hiking all over these hills, if they weren't posted.  Last year, I took a hike up to where this shot was taken (great view!) and I could see that a Kern County Sheriff had spotted me from the road, so I hiked down the back side to the other road.  He drove by, gave me a good once over, then moved on.

A total of 755 of these stylish WP class broad gauge Pacifics were built for the Indian Railways between 1947 and 1967. Unfortunately they never reached the heady speeds suggested by their streamlining.

WP 7209 was one of the initial prototype batch of 15 locomotives built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1947 and was still going strong when photographed on the Northern Railway at Lucknow - 10 November 1978.

MDDE RS3m #1202 sits in the sun on 3/22/17. Repairs are almost complete following a collision with a dump truck one month ago. Her sister, #1201, has been pressed into service despite being a junker IMO.

At long last, for reasons I will not go into here, PCC car # 1060 is on its way west to San Francisco!  It will be in acceptance testing for about 6 weeks and should be in SFMTA revenue service by mid-May.

Also, while I was waiting for 1060 to depart, rebuilt MNR 103 took a ride down to the test track.

A ride in the country on a cloudy day yesterday (3/25/17) resulted in finding these two units in Emporium PA.

This reminds me of the stubbornness of the north-going Zax and the south-going Zax:
