New layout for my kid

Santa brought my daughter a new trainset toy for Christmas.  It came with a trackplan.  I thought I'd post it here for feedback.  Let me know your thoughts.

In case you can't read it, that sentence below the word 'Instructions' says 'Please keep these instructions for future reference as they contain important information. '

Well that will settle the Roundy-round vs. proto ops debate early, won't it?

No way.  We decided to go back to the  drawing board and model a point to point.  Never underestimate the power of the oval starter set.  (Good thing we didn't keep that stupid instruction sheet with all that important information. )

I have a couple turnouts, lots of curves, couple buildings and lots of characters if you need to expand.

Ooooh that brings back memories. Ops on the living room floor, until my knees couldn't take it anymore. With full sound effects of course, although my son was far more talented than I was in that regard  :)

You're teaching your kid well -- instructions are optional.

I recommend plenty of run-through staging.   :D

Ooooh that brings back memories. ...

When I was four, what I wanted for Christmas more than anything else was a 90° crossing. Christmas morning, presents opened... no crossing. :(  Had breakfast, and Mom and Dad suggested maybe I should go out and get the newspaper, something I was normally tasked with. On the sidewalk... my 90° crossing. "Oops, it must have fallen out of Santa's sack!"

Yeah, my parents had no idea what they wrought.
