Digitrax Loconet & DS54 connections Question

I am finally getting around to setting up turnout position detection on a group of 5 Digitrax DS54 stationary decoders.
If I am understanding the UP5 diagram I should be able to connect 2 UP5's then connect the DS54s to the throttle jacks.

The control panel -->

The PS5 layout -->

Does this look like it would work?

Yes you can but that uses up a UP5.
The better way is to get a few 6P6C Y adapters.
The following web page is Australian but the picture of the item Im talking about tells 1000 words.
https://www.cablesonline.com.au/rj12-6p6c-3-way-coupler?gclid=Cj0KCQjwpZT5BRCdARIsAGEX0znbkjbzZeNdmWnr6Y2kG1rihM28YfmTYE7W4a06dqpaYSH7z2mSNiAaAuH0EALw_wcB

Make sure you get a 6P6C (6 pin 6 connector) adapter. You can get some 6P4C adapters and they wont work.

See here with my install of DS54's

Thanks  BDENNIS -- of course I see your pose right after I ordered 5 UP5 for this little project and the layout. -- They will not go to waste though.

Well that's a bugger... Im sure you find a use for them.. Just remember that the sockets on the front are NOT the same as the ones on the back.

The front sockets really only should be used for throttle sockets.

See here..
https://www.digitrax.com/tsd/KB613/throttle-jacks-vs-loconet-jacks/

So on reflection your diagram WILL NOT work.

Specifically -(from the link above) Boosters, BDL16x, DS64, SE8x and LNRP are examples of units that must be plugged in through LocoNet Jacks on the rear of the panels because they use DCC packets from the LocoNet cable Railsync lines.
