More Items Added to N-Scale Rewards Program

We are very fortunate that a number of train enthusiasts have BOTH the time and interest in contributing to the n-scale database. To help make the Rewards program as appealing as possible, we are working with our Rewards supplier, Top Hobby Trains, to procure items specifically requested by some participants who are working on earning their second and third trains. We have also added a 1-year subscription to N-Scale magazine as a general-appeal item to earn. Here's a link to the Program Prizes, Rules & Notes. http://www.trovestar.com/special/ntrains/rewards_rules.php

As you may know, we attended the N Scale Enthusiast convention in Kansas City.  We brought back some toys as rewards for the data entry project.  We have added them here:

http://www.trovestar.com/special/ntrains/rewards_summary.php

The rewards now include:

A Three-pack of the new 2-BAY USRA Hoppers in Pennsy livery from Bluford Shops.

A Three-pack of George Hollwedel's MTL special run 39' tank cars (Santa Fe).

One of the new operating Water Towers from Broadway Limited.

Thanks to folks who have been helping out, we now have over 18K different N Scale items described.

Looking at the instructions, it appears to require use of a gmail account only.  Is  it possible to use an existing, non-gmail account?
Tom D.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

It's actually just asking for a Google id.  You can set that up with any address.  When you get to the Google login page you'll just click 'create account.'  Then you can register your email address with Google. It's not that different from the way you registered with TRW. Except that Google will keep you logged into all their sites including YouTube. And they don't really like to let you log out without manually deleting cookies.

The reason for the Google login is to avoid any problems associated with retaining user credentials.

Hackers cannot access login information if the data is not located on the servers utilized by TroveStar.

While it would be fairly easy for a hacker to gain access to login credentials from an unprotected, user computer or device, gaining unauthorized access to Goggle's servers is a completely different matter.
