Commuter rail to Boston. An inbound train is pushed through Needham Flats with West Roxbury's Millennium Park in the background. The park is built atop an old landfill. West Roxbury is a neighborhood of Boston, but the train still has about 10 miles to go before it gets downtown.

How can I afford to see my sister in Chelsea or my cousin in Roxbury?

I'm not sure...  I know they had an eclectic collection of equipment through the years. I will check the rosters in my books when I get home on Sunday.  :)

They did own at least a couple Mack Railbuses including one that's preserved in Winnipeg.

Hmm... I'd hate to have
to change a flat on that
bus...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

@Spikre best I can determine Re: the front truck is it was taken from a previous rail bus converted in 1970 and before that another one rebuilt in 1935/36. there's no reference to its origins in the book only that its front truck was rebuilt in 1940
Possible they found one on the parts market or copied its design. but none of the Winnipeg utility companies owned anything built by Sykes.
