Looks great as always.  Totally love the new tunnel modules with the orange grove.  I can picture myself riding through the area on the California Zephyr!

Hope to see you at the next show (Sacramento in Feb. maybe?)
Cheers.

You misspelled St. Paul...

Feb 6th & 7th...

No New Year's show at Craneway Pavilion this year  :(
But almost everyone was able to make it the Great Train Show at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds in San Jose, CA Feb. 25-26.

A few photos:

Nils showed off his LED magic with this groovy Arduino-run vehicle:

And, of course, a video with your favorite music:

Thanks for watching!

Nice to see you posting @M.C. Fujiwara!

And tell Nils we want more details on the evolution of his urban industrial modules - it looks like they got an upgrade or two since we saw them last.

MC, you need the Nils music in the layout video when a train first appears. :D

I'm beginning to think they'll NEVER finish that damn bridge on the Shoo-fly module.

Will we get to see MC in KC next year??

I'll be in KC as soon as I get those lazy bums to finish the bridge on Shoofly

Actually, as the World Cup is played mid June to mid July, there's a slight possibility I could mosey to KC (never been!).
Would probably involve:
--No big conferences / work stuff happening early August
--MW couch on which MC catches ZZs
--the miracle of the hamster-wheel-running rodents who power my '98 Rav4 "Mean Green Machine" making it not only over two major mountain ranges to KC, but then back to the Bay Area.  As currently I make morning sacrifices to the auto gods any time I want to make it over the Sunol Grade into San Jose...  :scared:

But it's a great dream, & I'm honored to be invited.
Would love to see you & your work in person!
Also would be great to take 80 out & 70 back--all area I've never driven through.
Hmmm....

No matter what, great to see high-quality Free-moN becoming mainstays at regional & national train shows!
Keep posting picts of all yr fab work!

Seriously, it was good to see folks on Saturday AM.  One of these days there might actually be a ferry slip module, too.  Probably sometime after the bridge on ShooFly is done.   There is a very good chance that many more Free-moNsters are planning to convene in Kansas City.

Several good surprises already in store for KC2018 participants!  And more...incentives.. are being considered as we speak, so don't rule it out just yet! :D

The 5 and 6 will get you 95% of the way there and back, with no sacrifices to the auto god necessary.  I bet you can get a module or two onto the baggage car as well.  All you'd need from there is a guy in, say Lincoln, who's got a big trailer and will be heading to KC too.  Hmmm.   8)
