Kato N SD-45 in E-L paint???

Am looking to get said model, but latest release. But after reading Spookshow's site, and included reviews from MR, which don't show E-L listed at all, I'm confused. Kato's site doesn't seem to list older models. Used "depot" dealer in FLA. list 1995 and 1996 versions, with E-L as '96. (stock#'s 176-3110/11). Can anyone shed any light on this, please?

They are from the second run back in 96, same shell but they are not DCC ready, the truck detail is not as nice but the newer DCC ready mech and trucks can be fitted and they do not come with snowplows.

Wig-Wag is nice enough to keep most of the older release info on there site.

I have several EL and Reading Kato SD45s, I also have a newer GN SD45, the older EL units run the same as the newer GN without speed matching.  A TCS CN-GP decoder works great and is fairly easy to install.

This is a old friend of mine in New York. I visited his house once he has the most N scale stuff i've ever seen. he may be a little pricy but you may be able to...... a little(can't say)
, plus he may/has equipment not listed just contact him, he's an EL fan so he has the stuff you need in all gauges. here is a linky

Thanks John. But I got one for $65 from another vendor at the bay. Looks like I'll have to make up some # boards, and add some pilot details. Maybe a plow, too. Have to see proto pix. Like that flared end.
